How to control thermostats?

Hi. I see that the Echo can now control thermostats. How do we add this to our own code - I assume there is a particular appliance type we should set on discovery, and a different action in the payload, but can't find any info on that. Martin

Actually i think it works with ni changes yo the API. It is just using the set command with a value. You do not have to say percent.... and you probably want to use the device specific info on discovery to bote its a thermostat.... but nothing different...

Thanks. You are right - it doesn't seem to care what the device is when you say "set the temperature to...". I was a bit surprised, but I guess it depends on the Echo not doing silly things like getting confused between the Kitchen light and the Kitchen stat, and setting the thermostat temperature to 100 degrees when you actually wanted to set the light dim level to 100%.
