Formatting app description

Is it possible to format the text in the product description of the app ? When I click save all of the description formatting disappears(newlines/whitespace), you should at least be able to add a carriage return ?? Also, how have some apps placed some screenshots in their description and created sub-headings ? (e.g. http://www.amazon.com/Order-Online-Kindle-Tablet-Edition/dp/B005ZUR724/ref=pd_sim_mas_2)

I think that formatting the app description in that way is a feature offered by amazon marketing after payment.

but what about just basic lines/ spaces, is what I see when I click save how it's going to look on the store - because it's just a chunk of text with all spaces removed

Currently you can't add any carriage returns. It is a much needed feature though!

The descriptions are unadorned text. You cannot add carriage return or bold them. We take all your inputs as feedback and will forward it to the concerned team.

Just seen this today: http://www.amazonappstoredev.com/2013/01/the-detail-page-product-descriptions.html I like the way it has suggestions to improve your app description which are impossible to implement since you cant add a carriage return. Frankly it's pretty surprising that anyone would write a blog post like this, knowing full well you can't write your descriptions in paragraphs, especially a supposed Technical Evangelist.

Well, it's been 2 years. Any progress on implementing formatting? Also, why aren't product feature bullets included in the mobile version of the app store?

Also, another useful change IMO would be to change the app original release date to when the app was updated, or have both, because the update date generally lets users know if the app is being updated.Thanks.
