I've always considered the whitespace a feature. You know... in case you want to start your post at an arbitrary indent on the second line, for no reason. =) The other thing I've noticed, and I'm not sure if this is just me, but the fontsize gets all screwy sometimes. About 20% of the time I load a forum or an individual post, it'll be like 3x the fontsize it should be. Then when I refresh it goes back to normal.

Yes, and while we're at it, can we extend the timeout a bit? It's so annoying to refresh and have to login again, then find the right forum again. It's very minor, but annoying.

Let me begin with saying that this is one of the most civil, helpful, everyone-working-together forums I've been a part of. Kudos to everyone for this! Now my 2 cents for forum tweaks: Stuff I'd Really Like (aggregating other's suggestions here, too): - allow voting up/down so users could see "hot" topics/responses - allow favoriting/bookmarking topics/responses - allow authors to put tags in posts/responses for searchability, although the text search functions fine - allow PMs - remove the whitespace at the beginning of a post per jjaquinta - extend the timeout per Matt's suggestion - remove the automatic edit text/post when I change a post several times immediately after posting :-) - fix the Preview per jjaquinta. I had never tried this before, but I did just now and it is broken - nothing shows up. I usually post, then edit a bunch of times after I see it (hence the previous suggestion) Other pretty meaningless stuff: - avatars - polls Fwiw, I haven't experienced Galactoise's font size thing (I'm using FF on Win7)

The initial spacing issue is fixed - woo hoo! The Preview works now... sort of. The html line breaks are displayed (which isn't what you would see in the real post) and then when you return to the post, the initial space (the one that went away) is now displayed... Plus, after the second preview, the contents were blank. It's a start and shows that we are being heard - thanks!

Preview is broken again. I nearly lost a whole message. I think it has to do with having [ code ] code samples [ /code ] in the message.
