Please add vitual currency support

Our improvements in Starlanes 2.0 has really boosted engagement. (Several players are playing hours a day. Hours!) We're putting our next iteration plan together. One element we would like to introduce is in-game currency. If that is successful, then the iteration after that we'll be thinking about making the in-game currency purchasable. Sure, we can go through the effort of creating a web site that will take customers money and turn it into virtual currency. Billing and all that. But Amazon are experts at that. It would be nice if they created a common way in the companion app for our customers to bank money with supported skills. They have the skill and experience to do it. We would just need a way to check balance, and add line items.

I wonder if a requirement of this sort of work would be for them to finally implement a cross-skill user feature that we could use. It would be kind of ugly if something like a virtual currency was fractured on a per skill basis.

What kills me is they have all this sort of support for mobile. You know. The other half of this forum. In-App-Purchasing, Login-With-Amazon, Ads, and a bunch of other stuff that would make it a lot easier to monetize Alexa skills. It's like we're the poor bastard stepchild. Worse, it is almost as if Amazon are sabotaging their own platform. Things like "Write a skill in less than an hour" and "Write a skill and get a free T-shirt" only encourage a plethora of trivial useless skills. Most of the people I know personally who have an Echo haven't even looked at the 3rd party skills. And those who were didn't look past the first page with the fart joke skill front and center. Not exactly encouraging people taking the platform seriously.
