Mark, Hope you don't mind, I made fork on your project to mainly change the passed value as the speech input rather than the intent name to make things a bit simpler. I like this method because then I can pass anything to the Maker channel and handle everything on the recipe side rather than having to create new intents. Again thanks a million for the start to this! Not sure if it is useful to you or anyone else but here it is: https://github.com/monty617/AtoIFTTT

FYI, I plan to publish a Skill very soon (tomorrow?) that is a general Echo->IFTTT service. Check out http://EchoTTT.com for a preview. It's not fancy (yet) but it works really well and I actually use it frequently already. :)

Matt - This looks pretty cool. May I share it on my Love My Echo site? It's a site geared to end users, but many of them are pretty tech savvy and would want to know about this.

Don't share it yet, because right now no one can actually use it. Once I publish the skill and it's available, then it can be shared. If it takes too long for Amazon to publish it, then I may open it up to other developers to try by hooking directly to my endpoint. I plan to finish up coding tonight and push an update tomorrow, at which point it will be fully working. Stay tuned. :)

Curious about the status of this. Has the Skill been approved yet? If so let me know the link! Also, it would be nice to merge Montys branch so there are not two forks being developed in parallel. Thoughts on somehow bringing them together? Perhaps providing an option as to pass the value as intent vs. speech input.

Danny, check out the other thread: https://forums.developer.amazon.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=8577&tstart=0 My EchoTTT skill has not yet been approved, after waiting more than 50 days for a response from Amazon. I don't know what the status is or why there is such a long delay. Recently my skill stopped working in some cases, so I am trying to adjust it to get it working again for all cases. Amazon's processing of arbitrary input has changed.
