Ssl handshake failed

Ssd handshake failed, some of the message in the map says type HTTP which is odd. We sure could use cut in the app, I can't grab the message to post here. Anyway what likely the issue? I'm using my web sites legit ca based cert. I am however using an IP address not dns since this is testing. Could that be an issue?

Ok Found I chose the wrong cert in my load balancer. NOW it doesn't like me using an IP. Can't you guys have a setting to make this a bit more lenient without having to got the self signed route? If there is any kind of cert at least it's encrypted and this is just for testing anyway. Now I'll have to get dns set up for it, which I was avoiding to keep the access a bit more hidden.

Hi, We're sorry you are encountering issues with the SSL setup. It does seem like using a self signed cert and a domain name is the way to go for your particular use case. That being said, we recommend using Amazon Lambda for running your app as it removes the need for SSL certificates altogether. https://developer.amazon.com/public/solutions/devices/echo/alexa-app-kit/docs/developing-your-alexa-appkit-app-as-a-lambda-function

I think you missed a post, I did fix it. You require a dns name so that fixed things. I'm in house and can't run lambda. For now I'm stopped until echo supports things that take a while.

Hey R, Could you clarify what you mean by being in house? If I can get a better understanding of the exact problem your facing I will certainly try to put this in front of the appropriate team for clarification or as a feature request. Thanks!
