Live app update, edit supported devices, existing installations

Hello, There is a live title. When submitting an update several devices are no longer supported by the new version. What happens with a current users with a device which is unsupported by the new version? An example to elaborate: Old version supports devices A, B and C. New update supports devices A and B. C is unsupported. => A or B user can upgrade. Can C user somehow upgrade to the new version and get incompatible app for his/her device? What if C user deletes the old version, can he/she re-install the old app? Thanks, Alexander

Hi Alexander, You are correct: if an "A user" uninstalls the old version, but there is already a newer compatible version available for their device, then they will *not* be able to get the old version anymore -- they will only see the latest version as the only one available for them.

Hi alexander001, In the case like you described, current users with a device that is unsupported will not see the update, and will continue having the previous version as their latest update. The "C users" cannot upgrade to the new version and they cannot get the incompatible version for their device. However, if "C users" delete the app from their devices and then want to re-download it, the previous version of the app will be available for them, and they can re-install the old app. I hope that answers your questions, thanks!

Hi Levon, Thank you! Just to clarify one item: If an "A"-user uninstalls the old version then can he/she re-install the old version back? The new app version supports the device, so the new version should be the only one available for the device, I believe. - Alexander
