I received my Echo two weeks ago and I love it. It's not life changing, but it is fun. Does anyone know any way to get a metronome to play on it? I would be happy with voice control or having to use my phone or tablet. Any thoughts?
Easiest and quickest way would be to have an mp3 audio file and have the Echo play that. One for each time signature you'd want. This would require the mp3 files to be as long as you need the metronome playing. I suppose an app could be written to do this, but playing an audio track would be a lot simpler.
Hi Melody, I have registered for the Echo Developer program and received the following in an email: "Developer Forum: We encourage you to visit the private Amazon Echo Developer Forum to collaborate with Alexa team members and fellow Alexa app developers. Create an Amazon Developer Forum account, if you do not already have one. Provide your forum user name here. " I have completed all steps but cannot access the "private Amazon Echo Developer Forum". Can you advise? thanks
>I have completed all steps but cannot access the "private Amazon Echo Developer Forum". Ditto for me. Does the forum exist yet and, if so, how do I (who have registered and created several test apps) access it? The link provided in the invitation email simply takes me here but I see no Echo/Alexa section. Thanks, -Randy
I would like to second the request for a metronome. I would like to be able to say "Alexa, set a metronome in four four time for 90." I don't want to have to write an app myself and I would think that there would be another solution than creating a sound file which seems awkward and would take up space considering the time variations and speed variations. Since there are metronomes on phones, could that technology be adapted? I would also like to be able to say "Alexa, give me an A" and have her make a noise that is 440 hz until I tell her to stop. Thank you
