Using SSML Markup with Node.JS and AWS Lambda

Can someone post a quick example of how you would use SSML markup with Node.JS and AWS Lambda? For example, let's imagine that you wanted Alexa to pause for 5 seconds between two lines of text. How would you do that using Node.JS and the AlexaSkill.js library?

In doing some further poking around, I found a good example of using SSML with Node.JS within the "History Buff" example from the Alexa Skills Kit Sample set. It is found within the getWelcomeResponse function. response.askWithCard({speech: " " + speechOutput + " ", type: AlexaSkill.speechOutput.SSML}, {speech: repromptText, type: AlexaSkill.speechOutput.PLAIN_TEXT}, cardTitle, cardOutput); }

Note that you have to use the AlexaSkill.js file that is dated 09/30/2015 for the above code to work.
