Wifi setting

Hi, I configured my echo device with my home wifi and it is working fine. I am now learning to develop my first skills. I tested on Alexa dev console and on the echo device it is working fine - thanks for the extensive documentation and sample codes from Amazon team - great job. I now need to present this at my university where I need to use the Uni wifi. There is a proxy setting as well as one needs to login iin to the web page before one can access the public internet.. yes from the intranet to public. What would I have to do make this wifi work if I am behind such a firewall/intranet ?! Kind regards Dougy

There are some network setups that the Echo does not support. If I remember right, it can handle when wifi has a password, but not when you have to log into a login screen after connecting to password-less wifi. There are a few ways around it. When we hit this at Amazon dev day, I was next to someone who had a cell phone with the ability to be a wifi router. He was able to connect his phone to the uni wifi, and we were able to connect The Echo to his phone. You can probably also do this trick if you have a router that can do this. Bring your own router in. In any event, I would also record your demo so that you can show it even if you aren't able to work out the wifi!
