Did Alexa's Voice Just Change?

I asked Alexa a few things tonight and I seem to notice a difference in her voice. It sounds a little more natural than normal. I think. Just wondering if this was my imagination or if anyone else noticed a slight change in intonation and speaking speed?

I haven't noticed anything, and I would hope we would get a notification before they did that something like that, so we could regression test our responses (especially those using ssml)...

I think I notice changes in her voice -- pronunciation and cadence -- all the time. Someone is back there tinkering with these things pretty often, I think.

Matt, I noticed that alexa-app now sends everything as SSML instead of plaintext. I wonder if those 2 events are related.
