Will customer profile information include Kindle purchases in the future?
[On behalf of: steveseller2011] I know that currently customer profile can only at most include name, email, and zip. Will this be expanded in the future to include information on Kindle purchases? This would open the door for content providers to provide further supplemental content to customers who have purchased Kindle titles through Amazon without making said customer jump through any additional hoops.
Thank you for the feedback. While we do not have any announcements about future functionality for Login with Amazon to make at this time, we are always interested in hearing from developers who give us feedback on what they'd like to see in future versions of the product. Feel free to post additional feature requests to this forum.
[On behalf of: A2C4DY4VSTGNTZ] Yes, I think Steve has a point there. I was, also, wondering if log in with Amazon will give access to purchasing histories, i.e. if somebody logins with Amazon in a website/app, will there be an SDK to access their purchasing history?
@A2C4DY4VSTGNTZ, can you give us more details on your use case for customer order history? If you can elaborate on how you'd like to use the order history data it would help us in our future product planning.
[On behalf of: A2C4DY4VSTGNTZ] Yes, sure. I was thinking that if we had access to the purchasing history, it would be easy to create apps that would make recommendations, like the "More items to consider" section on Amazon, but for apps. Users could share their purchasing history anonymously for such applications and maybe we could have access in an rss type of format or xml. What do you think?
