How does Amazon use data generated from "login and pay" service?

[On behalf of: koortee] We are thinking of integrating our website with Amazon login and pay to accept payments using customers' Amazon accounts. From a business perspective, it is great that many our customers will have relatively less data entry to perform while placing an order and for us we can trust information in their Amazon accounts and process transactions securely. Besides the processing fees, Amazon also benefits by having up-to-date customer data (address, payments info). However I was curious if Amazon uses information acquired from the transactions made via login and pay service, in some way. This information can be really vital to other business that are seeking to advertise for customer acquisition. Our competitors would hit bulls eye with their marketing campaigns if Amazon was selling this data through some channel. Is this scenario possible? Is there a privacy or confidentiality policy to protect sellers like us?
