Session Reporting

For session reporting, what is quantified as a session? (ie: start-up, enter after sleep, etc.), I'm seeing a sizable difference between what Amazon is reporting as sessions launched and what internal analytics are reporting.

Hi Mike, Thank you for writing. Normally, the session means here the time elapsed after the app is started and became active (not gone in to background). Did you go through Step 6 (Record Session Events) of below document https://developer.amazon.com/public/apis/manage/analytics/docs/analytics-for-android-fire-os Have you called pauseSession() in the apps onPause()? I could not find any app which is associated with your account. Could you please let us know the app name or id (may raise ContactUs to hide those info from public) so that we could investigate more? Thanks.
