Privacy Policy and ability for users Opt Out

I am an iOS app developer who is using Amazon for metrics tracking and A/B testing only. Is there a webpage that provides our users with a privacy policy specifically related to Amazon's analytics services and allows them to opt-out? Our users are on iPhones only and cannot opt-out of the collection of the data through the “Collect App Usage Data” setting on Kindle Fire or in the Amazon Appstore mobile client. Referring them to the Amazon Appstore Terms of Use and Amazon Privacy Notice seems like a stretch since these documents are much wider in scope. We've used Flurry in the past and they had a pretty simple solution: https://dev.flurry.com/secure/optOut.do Is there anything analogous like this for Amazon Analytics? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Tinymarble, Analytics is very different from, say, GameCircle, where Amazon has a direct relationship with the end user and our privacy policy applies. Instead, Analytics is a tool for developers to build their app, like EC2 or DynamoDB. Just like using DynamoDB doesn't involve passing through Amazon's privacy policy, there's no pass-through for Analytics either. You responsible for the data you collect, and your data collection is subject to your own privacy policy. The AIInsightsOptions passed during initialization of the app has an 'allowEventCollection' flag. If you set this value to 'NO', it will disable event collection for insights in the app. The user will still receive AB Tests but you will not be able to gather AB statistics or Custom event data from this user. This setting can be turned on later if the user decides to opt back in. You will have to provide some kind of setting in the app or via NSUserDefaults to maintain the user's choice so that the correct eventCollection flag can be used when insights is initialized.
