API Key changes constantly

Why does the API key change every time you click on the API Keys link on a Security profile? Surely it should stay the same or once you've clicked it any existing apps with ADM will stop functioning properly because the key will no longer match. Or does it not matter if they match. In which case what exactly is the point of it. This whole thing makes absolutely no sense to me.

Ah, found the answer here https://forums.developer.amazon.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=4207ၯ Seems like it doesn't matter because they will always stay valid.

Hi Darvds, I agree that API key's changing behavior creates unnecessary confusion for the developers. Sorry for that. We have strongly raised the concern to the appropriate team. There is no progress on it so far.
