GameCircle login works only about 50% of the time

I have recently added GameCircle to my Android game. Unfortunately the client fails to initialize about 50% of the time WITHOUT the AmazonGamesCallback kicking in. So neither onServiceNotReady nor onServiceReady are called. I have added a "Sign In" button that repeats the initialization, but this NEVER works. The only way to get the client to initialize, is to completely exit the app en restart it and then hope for the best... This is on a non Amazon device, namely a Samsung S3 Mini (GT-I8190) with Android version 4.1.2. I also have the Google Game Services, these work a) as expected and b) are (much) faster to initialize. I realize this is a free service, so maybe you get what you paid for ;-)

It might be that testing GameCircle just doesn't work too well. Maybe on a live version it works. I am unable to sign in at all while testing a signed version of my game. It takes me to the web page to sign in, but I think it's suppose to sign you in inside the application? Not sure...
