How can I create player aliases for use in the sandbox?

On the sandbox tab, it states "To use this feature please add GameCircle player aliases to whom you would like to make the unpublished content visible. " When I click on Add New, I get a prompt for a profile name, but if I type in a new name, I get an error saying that the profile doesn't exist! Does anyone know how I can create players who can access my unpublished, GameCircle-enabled content for testing purposes?

The profile name to be entered for the Sandbox is the GameCircle nickname which can be found as follows: For a first generation Kindle Fire: Open any Gamecircle enabled game ( http://amazon.com/gamecircle-games ) and tap the "settings' link on the "Welcome Back" message. (Alternatively, open any Leaderboards or Achievements and tap the Settings tab). A username will be created for the customer and they have the ability to rename it. For all other Kindle Fire devices: Navigate to the 'Games' tab from the devices Home screen. Select "Profile" from the softkey menu button, then select 'Edit'. However if you do not have a GameCircle enabled game then you will be sent directly to the Appstore. If this is the case, please install a game from http://amazon.com/gamecircle-games .

We are unable to install any games from the Appstore, due to us being in Canada. How can we get around this to change our Game Circle Alias?

FYI - the link you provided goes to a blank page with a header that mentions GameCircle - but does not have any links to any games. On our new dev Kindle Fire - the games button just goes to a blank screen on the app store and I had to download 3 or 4 games until I happened to get one that supported GameCircle - they don't mention it as a feature on the search filters or descriptions. After I downloaded these games and went back to the "Games" menu item - it made me a GameCircle alias as described in your text. Not when I ran the app - but afterwards when I went back to the "Games" menu page. Very awkward process :|

Hi, sorry for posting on this old thread, but I am having a similar issue. I am using the new GameCircle 2.x SDK for JNI native implementation on a generic android device. In my game I can successfully see the sign-in popup, and I can initiate a sign-in flow. It opens up a webview that prompts for my amazon username/password. I enter them but I encounter an error saying I do not have permission. I have not setup any test users because I do not know how to create a GameCircle profile. Is this only possible from installing the Amazon Appstore app on my android device first? I was hoping this was not a requirement as I would like to target other android based devices (Ouya for example) that does not have easy access to installing the separate Amazon Appstore app.

Hi mm, I have sent you the sample implementation code of GameCircle Android SDK. Is the above issue still being observed there? Please let us know. Thanks.
