Date Range Filters

This page: https://developer.amazon.com/public/apis/experience/cloud-drive/content/nodes#Filtering indicates that the cloud drive api has the ability to filter on dates >, >= , < , and <= It also provides the following examples: To add a filter for modifiedDate < "2014-12-31T23:59:59.000Z" filters=modifiedDate:[* TO 2014-12-31T23:59:59.000Z] To add a filter for modifiedDate <= "2014-12-31T23:59:59.000Z" filters=modifiedDate:[* TO 2014-12-31T23:59:59.000Z]
Those seem exactly the same. What is the difference between the < and the <= formats? Similarly, what is the difference between the > and the >= formats?
