Contact Info and delivery status

Hello all 1st post here. I've searched the forum but couldn't find the answer. Loving the merch store great job team Amazon. Is there any plan to have email notifications on shirt sales? Although it is exciting to keep logging in and seeing a new sale it would be cool to get a notification. Also are we likely to get a customer contact? I feel bad that I have no idea who has bought a shirt from me and I have no way of saying thanks or seeing if they are happy. Finally the delivery status. It would be cool to see the status of each order, especially as you pay royalty on the shipped date. Keep up the good work! thanks all!! Paul

I second this - I regularly order products from Amazon and occasionally get follow up e-mails from sellers checking to see if I am happy with my purchase and requesting that I review the item. I would like to be able to do this with my customers - Currently I only have a couple of reviews and it would be nice to give our customers a little "nudge" to review our shirts... I know when I'm shopping on Amazon, I take the reviews into strong consideration...

I'm not too concerned about receiving an email notification, initially it can be exciting, but I have found it is better to maybe just check daily. Then the time saved can be spent coming up with ideas and designing, ready for when tier levels increase! Amazon doesn't allow sellers to have customer emails, but it could be great to be able to do follow up emails to encourage reviews. However, then things start to move towards being a 'full-on' seller and customer service elements. What happens if a customer replies to say they have a problem, we then put ourselves in the position of having to sort it out, with no immediate way to do so. My inclination is to accept the limits of a Merch account and let Amazon handle all the difficulties that may arise. I agree with you, Paul, that status would be nice to see when something is shipped, also would be great to get payments based on purchase date rather than shipping date, make it easier to know what payments to expect.

Thanks for the replies. Understood with the contact info. What would be an awesome feature would be the option to write an automated thank you email and to fully introduce my brand. I can live with not knowing who bought the t-shirt but I would like them to know I appreciate them buying it. Even checking t-shirt sales daily is time consuming and not needed if we simply got a notification. I don't want to be greedy in features but I'd also love to see a view count so we can see how many times an item has been viewed. OH! and a huge one from the UK - will the items be available in Amazon.co.uk eventually and not just the .com? Thanks all I appreciate the Merch team and look forward to the platform growing. My local T-Shirt printer is a bit miffed but I told them merch stores were the way to go to take us out of being the middle men. For FBA and FBM sellers, Feedback Genius from SellerLabs is 3rd party software which works with Amazon Seller Central to send customers follow up emails. Hopefully, SellerLabs is working on a version for Merch.

There is no way this could work with Merch as we have no contact at all with customer, unless Merch decide to enable that in some way :-)

Thanks everyone, we really appreciate all the enthusiasm from the community. It's just so positive to see how everyone wants this program to evolve and grow and offer you chances to offer a better customer experience. There are definitely so many cool tools and services that are available in Seller Central and other marketplace programs, and we hope to learn from each of our Amazon teams. We'll keep posting updates to the portal as we evolve this program. Can you believe Merch is only 2 and a half months old? It feels like so much longer!

Leia, It also feels great to see such a sport and enthusiasm in Merch staff like you. And we really appreciate the opportunity that has been given to us and yes, it feels like so long even though I have not even completed a month with Merch! To say it's exciting would be an understatement. We too look forward for Merch to grow and evolve and we'll keep providing valuable suggestions where and when needed. :)
