Hi all I work at a college in the UK and we've bought a few Kindle Fires for loan as a research tool for our learners- feedback is great so far they do exactly what we want. However I've just noted when adding restrictions via parental controls that there's no option for me to require a password for a factory reset. Am I missing an option here? Feels like an enormous flaw that anyone using the device can do this. Any help/info/apps would be greatly appreciated!
Hi , Thank you for your post. The ADB permission to device will get the access to the device recovery and flashing new image. The Device is not blocked by wiping the data completely. The Device personal contacts & data, memory space is erased, when device goes to factory reset. Currently the factory reset is not blocked by password. Hope this info helps.
