when can we expect an update from Amazon about the free Kindle?

Just curious if we are going to hear any time soon from Amazon about who will be eligible for the free Kindle? Did any Dev receive an email? My app should have qualified and will not mind to get an extra device. Even better if Amazon will give some Fire HDX and not just HD... But will happily take the usual HD :-) Thank

I should be eligible myself, but so far I haven't got any notice. Just to make sure the email doesn't get lost in some Spam filter (with fake prizes). Cheers, Paolo

Nope, no emails yet. Unfortunately the few terms and conditions don't give any indication when Amazon will be contacting eligible developers.

> That'd be a nice gesture regarding the Kindle HD's > massive loss of value during the promotion :) I think that was the point of the promotion: Amazon is giving out a good device (top of range until a couple of weeks ago) at a reasonable cost for them (since its value has dropped after unveiling the new HDX series), we get a good device for testing (and playing, my children can't wait for the new tablet to arrive). I think that's a good deal as it is. Obviously, I wouldn't mind an upgrade to HDX should Amazon decide for it, but otherwise I'm happy enough with the HD. :D Still no mail from Amazon... I feel like a child at Christmas eve... Cheers, Paolo

So far nope no email... Checked my spam folder just in case. At least it will be good to have a blog update or some communication on what/when to expect some news one way or another. Out of curiosity how did your integration goes with Amazon Ad platform? Did you get better eCPM than your previous ad system or same or less? On my end so far eCPM is less but I like the ad better since they look a lot better on Kindle than the other ad provider.
