eCPM dropped dramatically

We noticed our eCPM start falling on 6th August and it's continued to drop dramatically (more than the usual small fluctuations). There is no other indication of other figures dropping, such as requests, fill rate or CTR, so we're just wondering if anyone else has noticed a large drop in eCPM over the last couple of days? Perhaps someone from Amazon could comment too.

Yep, and sadly it's not the only issue that comes at the end of July, you can read my post in Feedback section to see them, please let me know if you also have noticed one of them or all of them. Let's see what will be the answer from Amazon team, i hope that it's just a bug and not a lose in quality of the ads.

Support is really bogged down. I finally heard back about an issue after 10 days. They've definitely got their hands full. As for the eCPM, it might be because Amazon is lowering the amount of ads they plug into their own system. If there are no actual third-party advertisers stepping in to fill the space, there would be drops in impressions and eCPM. As much as I hope things go back to the way they were, it's also possible that we've been very lucky for what's been essentially a free lunch so far.

Hello RobotiCode, we are in the exact situation as you. Hopefully it's just a hiccup in the system (b/c of the August 1st requirements from Google). I emailed Amazon this morning and waiting to hear back from them. We are also in the process of updating our apps to the Google Play Services APIs and hope that we won't have to look elsewhere.

And can someone share some info from the iOS side? Maybe that's where our eCPMs gone to since Amazon just launched the iOS SDK.

Our eCPM dropped from around 2$ to 0.7$. Hope it's just a statistics hiccup -- there was one in mid July...

Same here. My eCPM went from $1.90 to $0.55. Absolutely unacceptable. That's less than half of what I'm getting with AdMob. I'll be dumping Amazon Ads within the next few days if it doesn't go back up.
