Does Amazon IAP API generate different User ID per application?

Hi, We have published few applications on Amazon Store. I have installed from Amazon store on Amazon Kindle fire with one valid Amazon account. Lets say we have installed 3 applications. Now when we launch each and every application with same Amazon account, then we are observing that Amazon API returns 3 different User IDs for 3 different applications. My question here is: Even though the Amazon account being used is only one, why are we seeing different User ID for different application? Does Amazon generate User ID per application basis, even though we login with only one Amazon account on the Kindle Fire device? Kindly let us know with your valuable comments. Thanks in advance.

Hi, The Android operating system is a multi-user Linux system in which each application is a different user. The Android platform takes advantage of the Linux user-based protection as a means of identifying and isolating application resources. It assigns a unique user ID (UID) to each Android application and runs it as that user in a separate process.
