Non Amazon Devices Question

I developed my app specifically for the Kindle Fire. I plan on submitting a general Android version in a few months. Until I viewed the app submission process I assumed the Amazon dev portal was separate from the general Google Android portal. If I select to submit the app for "Non Amazon Devices" does this make the app available to all Android phones in the general Android marketplace? If so, that means there's no reason to sign up for a dev account through the Google Android site? Thank you for the help

Hi Tspree15, Thank you for your post. The Google Play and Amazon App Store are different app shopping portal and not linked. So if you publish an app for non Amazon devices through Amazon App Store, the app would be available for all android devices having Amazon App Store installed.
