Technote –CSS Fixed positioning in Android webviews requires disabling

In diagnosing a problem with a customer’s web application across Android API level 15 webviews(Android 4.0.3, same as our 2nd Generation Kindle Fire Tablets), that we found an issue when a developer used absolute positioning in their CSS class for a fixed navbar. We found that this was not working specifically in our Ice Cream Sandwich webviews, and that as a stopgap measure; the developer was able to remove that CSS class to resolve their rendering problems. However, as discussed with the following Stack Overflow post, it was a problem with how the viewport meta tag was configured for the app. Instead of using commas to separate properties, you have to use semi-colons: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/10783641/viewport-meta-tag-not-working-in-iphone-and-android Otherwise the required setting of disabling user scaling for the web app will not work properly*. *Source: http://caniuse.com/css-fixed
