Will apps using 1.0 not work after April 30, 2016?

I am wondering if existing apps using 1.0 will break after 4/30/2016 when people try to make a purchase. (I received an email saying that's the deprecation date). The emails says I have to use IAP 2.0 if I want to update the app, but I do not need to update my older apps. (I'm trying to avoid this because it was a pretty painful process for my new apps)

I would also like to know the answer to this question. 2.5 months is not a lot of notice. We have 5-6 apps that would need to be updated in that time frame.

Hi Andrew, Existing apps with IAP v1.x will *not* break after 30 April, but will continue to function correctly, so you don't have to worry about that. Only if you plan to submit an update for such an app, then your updated binary must implement IAP v2, because it will not be accepted if it still includes v1 code. The same for new app submissions -- they must use IAP v2. I hope that clarifies it.
