Bluetooth on the Fire TV

Since the Amazon product page for the Fire TV lists Bluetooth and some standard profiles as a feature I assume they are usable somehow? "Bluetooth 4.0 with support for the following profiles: HID, HFP 1.6, SPP" While trying to pair a bluetooth keyboard (HID profile) using the Fire TV settings app, no device is found. I tried using the Android Bluetooth API in an app, and while I can scan and find devices - when the request for pairing is made (createBond) nothing happens. Can anyone shed any insight on if these should be working?

Hi, Bluetooth keyboards are not currently supported on the Fire TV. The Fire TV uses the bluetooth HID profile to enable the gamepads and remotes.
