Amazon Maps V2 Service Update Required

I had a working version of my app using the version 2 of the Amazon Maps SDK on my Fire Phone. However after performing a factory reset on it I can no longer access the maps api. The actual map application works fine but neither the coffee sample or my app work now. In logcat I see: 01-10 16:32:00.756 13286-13286/ I/Activity﹕ No ActvityExender defined. Proceed with default activity behavior. 01-10 16:32:00.756 13286-13286/ V/AmazonMapsV2﹕ Running as amazon. 01-10 16:32:00.756 13286-13286/ V/AmazonMapsV2﹕ Maps runtime not available, code = 2 What I see in the app is a dialog from the AmazonMapRuntimeUtil.getErrorDialog saying Amazon Maps Service Update Required ------------------------------------------------------- An Amazon Maps Service update must be downloaded and installed in order for this application to function. Please sync your device. The phone is hooked up to my Amazon account and I have confirmed that it is running Fire OS 3.6.8(128003620).

Can you try manually syncing your device with the cloud by clicking on the sync button. You can find the sync button by pulling up the top pane, and its the logo under airplane mode.

I tried that a couple of times when the problem started. Eventually several hours later it started to work again on its own. I don't know why it would have taken so long to sort itself out but it finally did.
