Launcher Icons

Hi, We are currently preparing a submission for the Amazon App Store. In the submission we are asked to provide icons of these dimensions: 512x512 and 114x114. What specifically are these icons used for? Assuming (for the time-being) that we are only launching for Kindle devices do we need to still include the launcher icons within the .apk? In other words the ic_launcher.png within res\drawable-mdpi, res\drawable-hdpi, res\drawable-xdpi and res\drawable-xxdpi?

Hello Jonathan, Thank you for writing to us. The icons on Kindle Fire Tablets are dynamically pulled from Amazon Apps Settings. We resize the icons and show in the devices in app menu or carousel according to device resolution. Once you've submitted your app and it's live on Amazon, your app's appropriate icon will automatically be displayed.

This doesn't answer the question I asked - do we need to include any launcher icons within the .apk - in the res\drawables directories?

Hi Jonathan, Sorry for not covering all the queries in the first reply. Launcher Icons would be used in the non Amazon devices. So you are supposed to add icons in res\drawables directories.
