Kindle Fire HD and Widevine DRM

Just recently we are receiving "Digest mismatch" errors to authenticate our content through Widevine DRM. This only occurs on Fire Tablets. We cannot seem to locate the cause of this error. If you have any insight as to why this would happen please let me know. Hello Developer, We will need some more information in regard to this problem. Is this only occuring on Fire Tablets as you are sideloading the app via ADB or are you using another mechanism to deploy the app such as Live App Testing that publishes your app through Amazon's systems. If you can please either post that information there, or contact us via https://developer.amazon.com/help/contactus.html , with information on how your app is being loaded on the fire tablets, and a sample of an APK that reproduces the problem we can investigate the issue further.

Doug, We are using ADB tools to install the APK either through Android Studio or command line. I will create a sample APK for you to test. Please let me know where to send. Thanks, Dennis Miller

Hello Dennis, So just to verify, looking at the application that you have given to us. The only device we were able to see the error in which you are describing is the Kindle Fire HD 7(3rd Generation). Out of the devices we tested, all of the HDX 3rd generation and 4th generation Fire Tablets were functioning fine. So, our assumption is just that you are testing on a device that does not have Widevine support built into the platform. At the moment the following devices support Widevine DRM within your media feeds: Kindle Fire HDX 7(3rd Generation) Kindle Fire HDX 8.9(3rd Generation) Fire HD 6(4th Generation) Fire HD 7(4th Generation) Fire HDX 8.9"(4th Generation) Please let us know if you have any other issues or inquires.
