How to get Kindle model

How do I determine what Kindle Fire Model my app is running on? (Must be documented somewhere; but I have been unable to fine.) And... will the emulators show their model? I need to resize for 3G models.

Encoded in the serial number is the Kindle model A quick Google search turned up: List of device types by serial number http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/forums/kindleqna?ie=UTF8&cdForum=Fx1GLDPZMNR1X53&cdThread=Tx32HUPO6D4CBT4 Note: D025 is not listed and is a KF HD7 To find s/n Swipe down from screen top + More Device About 2nd item down [on my Kindle Fire HD] is 'Serial Number' Glad to see someone actively programming while enjoying retirement ;-) Robin

Thank you! I really did look hard -- sometimes one just has to ask the right question; and I was not. By the by for others... Find a list of Kindles and SN first 4 codes here: http://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/Kindle_Serial_Numbers
