YouTubeAndroidPlayerApi.jar

Hello: I am reposting the this here from the beginners forum. I am trying to write an Youtube player app. I am extending the YouTubeBaseActivity from the YouTubeAndroidPlayerApi.jar lib on a kindle Fire HD 7 4.5.5. I'm getting the error "An error occurred while initializing the YouTube player" when I run the app. Does anyone know if this YouTubeAndroidPlayerApi.jar can be used with the Kindle? If not, can you point me to the kindle approach? Cheers, Tony

Hi there, It looks like there are multiple things that can result in this error. Most importantly, if the API relies on Google Play Services, it will not work on any amazon devices as Google PlaY services are not available on these devices. Jamie
