Kindle Fire HD isn't visible to "adb" w latest SDK on my Mac?

Running the latest everything, Mac OS X 10.8.2, Android SDK 20.0.3, SDK Platform-tools 14, etc. I've run "android update adb", I've restarted, I've restarted the Kindle Fire itself, I've enabled "Enable ADB" on the Kindle. I've tried different cables and different ports on my MacBook Pro. But nada. The SDK just doesn't see the Kindle. I will note that the Android File Transfer utility *does* see the device when I run it, but... I'm pulling my hair out over this one, guys. Can someone suggest what I need to do so that the shiny new Fire HD shows up on "adb devices" so I can proceed? Thanks!

Usually the new Kindle Fire HD will show devices connected to your PC when you run "adb devices" command. However please submit a contactUs( https://developer.amazon.com/help/contactus.html) with details to help you further in this issue.

android update adb seems not to work. Instead you need to edit ~/.android/adb_usb.ini and add two lines: 0x1949 0x0006 It was working for me for weeks and then suddenly stopped. Not sure why. Perhaps updating the Android dev tools wiped this setting.

Same here... MAC 10.6.8 + Eclipse Indigo with all updates. When Im trying to install the Kindle Plugins in Eclipse, I got this: No repository found at http://kindle-sdk.s3.amazonaws.com/addon.xml No repository found at http://kindle-sdk.s3.amazonaws.com/addon.xml So, I can not use my Kindle Fire HD to develop apps.
