Kindle options not found in Android SDK Manager

I followed the guidelines from following URL: https://developer.amazon.com/sdk/fire/setup.html but I cannot find the kindle AVD or Kindle Devices in the list. I only get the option of Kindle Fire USB Driver which is for Windows. Has the processed changed to get the emulator?

I've just logged on to ask this and saw your thread. I've updated my IDE/SDK yesterday and noticed this, it looks like emulator related pages also taken down. So, emulators discontinued?

Right now Kindle Emulator related documentations are not visible in our new site. Please turn off new site by Feedback -> Exit New Site and go to below page to find the latest documentation on Kindle Emulators what has changed quite a lot from above. https://developer.amazon.com/sdk/fire.html Emulator documentation links: https://developer.amazon.com/sdk/fire/emulator-guide.html https://developer.amazon.com/sdk/fire/avd-launcher.html https://developer.amazon.com/sdk/fire/speed-emulator.html https://developer.amazon.com/sdk/fire/ki-emulator.html https://developer.amazon.com/sdk/fire/emulator-manual-settings.html https://developer.amazon.com/sdk/fire/native-app-x86.html We will fix these not to be appearing issue in our new site soon. Hi Sujoy, Thanks for the prompt reply. I've reverted back to old site which fixes the documentation issue. But I still cannot access/download the emulators in Android SDK Manager. Given Add-on Site URL (same on both old & new site documents) does not contain package information for emulators, just the USB driver for Windows. http://kindle-sdk.s3.amazonaws.com/addon.xml Is this a bug or emulators taken down on purpose? Best, Erdener

Looks like it's a common issue now. The addon.xml file only mentions the Kindle USB Driver when opened. Something funny must've happened on Amazon's end.

Amazon has discontinued support for the HD and HDX tablet emulators. You should follow the guidance at https://developer.amazon.com/public/support/submitting-your-app/tech-docs/02-submitting-an-android-app and https://developer.amazon.com/public/support/submitting-your-app/tech-docs/03-pre-submission-assessment-guide in order to optimize their Android apps for Kindle tablets.
