question

I'm writing an application for Fire TV that plays multicast videos. I have found that the kernel on my amazon Fire TV set top does not support multicast.I am using SW version- 51.1.4.2_user_514015320. I believe adding support for multicast is just a matter of enabling "CONFIG_IP_MULTICAST" and rebuilding the kernel. I'm not sure why it isn't enabled already but hope that a release that includes multicast support will be available soon. I have an immediate need for this functionality. Thanks
