"Chipmonk" audio w/ Fire Stick Netflix app, Prime app audio OK

An additional confusing symptom: Optical audio out from the TV to home theater audio amp is fine. Prime audio good all the time; TV speakers or optical out. Only the TV speakers seem to be affected when using the Netflix app. Huh?? Help !
