How to detect on what type of device the app is running?

What is the right way to detect on what type of device (Fire TV / Fire TV Stick / Kindle) the app is running? It seems that ro.product.model is not supported in Fire OS 4.1.1.

Hi, In general, its suggested that you not directly detect which device the app is running on, but use feature detection instead: https://developer.amazon.com/public/solutions/devices/fire-tablets/specifications/01-device-and-feature-specifications#Feature%20Detection However, if you still wish to directly detect the device directly, you should be able to use the android.os.Build.MODEL as is on this page: https://developer.amazon.com/appsandservices/solutions/devices/fire-tv/docs/device-and-platform-specifications
