FireStick Samba issue

Hi there. I have been struggling for a week now and I cannot figure out what is wrong. Basically I have 3 devices : on file host (OSX 10.11), one fireTv et one firestick I share a folder (let's call it Shared) using the SMB service on OSX. Then I go to the firetv and I can access my share drive right away using KODI However when I go on the Firestick, I get a broken pipie error. The 3 machines are on the same subnet, same domain. The shared folder is not password protected. If i try on a 4th device (Windows machine) I can access it no problem. That said the issue seems to be related to the stick itself and I cannot figure out what is wrong. Any idea?
