Alexa having an issue with SSL Handshake

I have uploaded my jar file to the Alexa Skill console. The code inside the jar makes a call to my https endpoint to get some json data. When I deployed the skill, it fails during the point where I make the https call with a SSL HandShake error. It appears that I need to upload the self signed SSL certificate in the Alexa Skill Console, but I don't see the option when I click on the "Edit" button of the skill ? What is the right way to do this ?
