"Discover my devices" is flakey

Often "Alexa, discover my devices" fails to find my devices. I have 9 Wemo devices configured on the same Wifi network as my Alexa. Sometimes it does find all 9, but often, maybe 80% of the time, it fails to find any. Sometimes I find devices doubly registered (find them via the Alexa app). I delete all the registered devices, and have Alexa discover the devices again. Doesn't seem to affect fix the flakiness - still often fails to find devices.

Interesting. I don't have that many Wemo devices so I can't really test myself. Is your network fairly small? Given https://community.smartthings.com/t/wemo-connect-fails-to-discover-devices/9538 I have a feeling this isn't really an Alexa issue but instead a Wemo issue. Perhaps you could use a UPNP browser (like https://code.google.com/p/wupnpbrowser/ ? ) to see if your devices show up.

Hi, Can you please report this issue via the report issue feature of the companion app? That will allow this request to go through the standard process which will make it more likely to be fixed. Thanks, Nick
