Vinegar Smell

Many reviews mention the 'vinegar smell' when they receive a shirt and this results in either a returned shirt or a poor rating. There are undoubtedly many thousands of customers who never review, but may be put off buying in future because of this. An easy solution to this problem would be to insert an A4/A5 leaflet explaining why it smells. It would be great if something like this could be initiated sooner rather than later, as it doesn't require anything like a coding change, just a supply of leaflets.

8 out of 10 negative feedbacks we got mentioned same VINEGAR smell problem. I have no idea what is going on at production level but it is not good

I got one of my own shirts in the mail yesterday, and I agree. The smell was pretty strong!

Definitely agree. Slipping in an A4 with note won't hurt and can only help. I have customers leaving bad reviews just because of that as well.

The Vinegar Smell problem isn't just a Merch issue, it is general to DTG printing, but the customers don't know that. I have seen this issue raised across many other top T-shirt sites. Mentioning it in the listing/bullets could hurt sales, so one doesn't want to do that. My feeling is to entertain the customer maybe with a cartoon type graphic and "What's that smell?" or "Did someone drop the vinegar?" then explain what it is, that it will disappear in a day or two, or can be washed out etc. Take the opportunity to also thank them for buying this shirt, that a review would be nice etc.

PLEASE put a sticker on the tshirt explaining about the smell! I have tons of negative reviews over the smell!

The discomfort of this smell is only in things received by international mail.

There is no "vinegar smell" in the domestic (Japan) parcel.

You mean to say Merch has started in Japan too? Or you meant it in reference to general parcels you receive in Japan?

Since I wash all clothing before wearing, I am not bothered by the vinegar smell. But I am not necessarily my buyer.
