Keyword search tool - prohibited terms

Feature Request - Keyword Search Tool

Please add a simple keyword search tool within the create dashboard of Merch. The purpose of the tool will be to allow designers to reference their desired keywords against those that are prohibited in the design processing database. The feature will be a valuable check for designers to ensure their listings comply with Merch by Amazon keyword IP policies before posting to sell.

The tool will save countless hours for designers regarding keyword IP policies. This feature will also save Merch staff valuable time not having to manually review listings that contain rejected terms.

The check against the database could be taken one step further. After the search show the keyword string as a red error meaning rejection or a yellow caution that states the design will be flagged for manual review. Let the designer decide on yellow cautions. Simply do not allow red flags to pass the save button.

Saving time for designers and MBA staff is a win for both partners ultimately earning a higher profit line.

Yes yes yes!! With thousands of designs and only myself to do all the work, it's impossible to sort through every single listing looking for terms I need to modify or delete after the new content policies were announced without a tool like this, at least not in a reasonable amount of time. This is an absolute necessity.

Agreed! Check out my feature request about faster payment methods! Getting paid faster motivates creators to work harder to make more money for amazon and themselves! Win/Win.

This is an excellent idea!

Please consider implementing this.

After the recent policy changes I have hesitated publishing anything out of concern for violating the rules now.

It would be great to have a means to know exactly what we can publish and not have to worry about putting our account in jeopardy.

This would be a great solution to solve this new issue.

Hi, Clark - can you point me to these "recent policy changes" that you are referring to? I'm aware that we shouldn't be using any brand names or IP protected material - is there something beyond that to be concerned about?

What would also be helpful is a comment box that we could explain the definition of a word we are using. Example: Muggles. Muggles is a term used for people who don't geocache.

First off Muggles is trademarked. Second I envisioned this being quick easy solution search tool. One that checks against a set database not a slot to write an explanation to the Merch staff to manual review. Having to manual make a decision goes completely against what this tool would be trying to accomplish.

When the keyword search gets added, please also allow it to search the Parent ASIN field. This will enable us to quickly find a specific design when needed, instead of browsing multiple results that typically get pulled up on a title search.

Not what I envision the focus of this tool to be. It is not meant to find designs or listings. It is a quick check whether a keyword is on the rejected database of words. It could even be incorporated right on the brand/title/bullets completion page of the create function.

Dear Amazon, just make second Google engine, to show us all needed info about words we use. Beautiful dream about Google for Merch by Amazon. This is must have. Thanks!

Or at lease the search bar in the Manage tab should cover the whole listing including Brand name, key product features and description instead of just title. Now with the new policy with new set of ambiguous prohibited keywords I have to manually go into my close to 900 listings one by one to find and edit those problematic keywords.

I'm in editing this stuff now. Reducing key product feature descriptions down to one or two sentences and am still getting rejections. These edits are taking place on designs that have been up for nearly a year now. Would be nice to have a keyword tool that prevents us from putting ANYTHING in the description that will get a rejection. Would save a tremendous amount of time for us and Amazon.
