"PopSockets" in Brand Name: Enforce the rule or drop it.

Some niches are dominated by "brands" with the term "popsockets" in the brand name, a clear violation of the guidelines. These need to be deleted OR make an announcement that it's okay so everyone can do it. The current scenario is unfair to people who are trying to be good citizens.

Hello - I agree fully that the matter needs to be handled - now. I mentioned this was occurring in this forum days ago.

My issue with the blatant disregard of a policy is multi-fold

1- Does Amazon really want this type of person uploading? Amazon published specific rules yet some people do as the please and it is not caught at the upload phase.

2- When PopSockets does a random check on Amazon ,and I assure that they will as they are a small, new, rapidly growing company. I've had numerous conversations with two of their staff as I work with a client base and PopSockets are hot. They operate with a very strict set of rules and when they see PopSockets name being tossed about - we may find ourselves with a folded agreement.

3. I can appreciate your "good citizens" comment - this is more than we play by the rules. Allowing such blatant disregard - copycats, trademark infringement, manipulating the listings, inability to catch just insane uploads and wording- tragedy, Dis-ney, Mar-vel etc. etc. and now PopSockets, is just an open invite for the press to do a bit of checking and publish a non optimum article on Amazon thus lowering public trust of Amazon.

I'm glad you created the vote option as this a matter than needs to be handled now.

*crickets* from Merch.

Search something at random, eg " Beer PopSockets."

Leaving out the sponsored ones, and two with brand name "unknown" that feature the Bud Light logo (!), every single (100%) item has the word "PopSockets" in the brand name. Why aren't these being rejected?

Someone yesterday was having PopSockets rejected when they had Popsockets in the brand name, so maybe it's starting to get fixed. But the link above to "Beer Popsockets" still gets 100% illegal results. Either a Bud Light logo, or they have PopSockets in the brand name.

Scott - I've asked myself the same question for 2 plus years on Merch. I cannot remotely fathom how some things get passed and online. Listings that are so clearly against policy.
