I was getting so many rejections for "copyright" that I snapped a pic from one of my sketchbooks, manipulated it in Photoshop 2021, and submitted it. It was rejected within minutes with the same "violates our content policy" email. BTW... my pic is a rough kid like sketch of three airplanes.

Sometimes the rejection has nothing to do with the artwork, it might be the wording you use in the title or description. It might be if you use text on your design that the text itself is Trademarked text. You can verify your text by exact phrase at the Trademark website here: https://tmsearch.uspto.gov/. I do agree with the rejection notice, there should be a reason.

This week I had an expiring product, so I copied it and the amazon translated Japan designs to a new design and submitted it. It was rejected as being a "youth" shirt and I was told it contained sexual content. I spent 4 days replying to the rejection email asking why, that I could see nothing. (apparently they don't answer replies to rejection emails).

I finally submitted a new ticket and Stacey J. was very nice to tell me the word that was being rejected. A Japanese word that I did not translate that I couldn't read, that I never would have known. I did search for the phrase she gave me in my Japanese boxes and it isn't there so I'm at a loss.

This design has been up for a year and the translation has been up for months. It was just copying it and resubmitting that got it triggered. Apparently they don't run their translations through the same rejection tool to make sure they don't translate something into something sexual.

I asked:
When something gets blocked, can't they use the expression that was tagged in the response message and let people know? Especially now that Amazon is auto-translating languages.

She told me to submit it here.

But the thing is that when something is dinged for words those words should be included in the response back to the person as to what rejected it. Because this is specifically a children's design and it needs to include youth. I can't see too many adults willing to wear a baby monkey tangled up in yarn.

So I agree, rejections need to provide more details. And I'm a computer programmer so I know it should be easy enough to include the specific trigger in the rejection email.

However, this was posted in January 2018, and only 2 votes, so I don't expect anything to change. :( How can people not be voting for this.

I apparently don't have permission to vote although I am an Amazon Merch. Maybe that's why there are no votes on important things.

Wow! Apparently, I am not the only one who understands that they must be more specific when they reject a design. Spend hours doing something that looks simple; but select the sources, see that everything is as I imagined it in a process and they in fractions of seconds say, "REJECTED" and not a clear explanation.

I wrote a nice phrase that says:

"I am the worst cook but I give the best hugs."

What's wrong with that? Oh my God! Suddenly it will not be possible to speak everything will be offensive !!

I agree. Give us at least some hint as to what caused the rejection so it can be corrected.
