cant permission appstore to directly install applications with OxygenOS5 (Oreo)

Greetings,

I'm trying to install Hearthstone through the Appstore. I've installed the Appstore directly through the APK, but I'm finding that it doesn't have permission to directly install Hearthstone itself.

I'm running OxygenOS5 which is Android v8 (Oreo), and it seems like the issue is that the Appstore doesn't show up in the "Install Unknown Apps" menu, meaning I cant privilege it to install applications directly.

Can anyone please confirm if they're able to get the Appstore to show up here on their Oreo device? I'm wondering if the Appstore itself needs an update to work within Android's new permissioning scheme, or otherwise if it's a problem with OxygenOS5.

Many thanks,

CompanyMan

Hi,

i actually just contacted amazon through appstore. this is still an issue. android switched the general feature to a permission. so they need to update amazon app and ask for it. watch out for update in amazon app.
