Hello all and thank you for giving us feedback on how to improve Alexa.

However, this is the Amazon Developer Forum, a space dedicated to help people develop skills for Alexa, who have no control about the "Try..." feature.

The best way to have this particular concern heard is to get in touch with our customer service here who should be able to assist with your matter further.

Regards,
Barry

It doesn't look like it, there's isn't a setting to hide the "Try:...".

Swipe down on the screen > Settings > Home Screen > Home Card Preferences

They're intended to provide 'hints' on what you can do with the Show.

I just installed my echo show and its terrific. But I also want to get rid of the "Try ..."message. It should be very easy for the development team to put this option in the settings menu. Its a 5 minute fix. .... come on !!!

Please provide an "Echo User Skill Level" Setting in Settings>Home Screen>Home Card Preferences so a User can turn off the "Try" Card/Message

Would also like to see this, maybe you can create a feature request for this? Current workaround: disable display rotation. Naturally then the display only shows the clock (after one initial rotation, I think) and not e.g. the weather card.

Also get rid of, or at least allow the user to suppress the "Things to try" screen in the Echo Spot, which appears when you set screens to rotate. It is incredibly annoying.

Please allow the user to turn off the "Things to Try" home card on the Echo Spot. I hate it very much.

I totally agree. Cannot believe that someone thought it would be a good idea to have an endless stream of 'Things to try' on the default screen without giving the user an option to disable them.

Exactly... and after numerous feedback posts, they still don't care.... or get it. I get the "we're submitting this to development" email back...and an almost guarantee they are working on it... but sill nothing... nada... zip.
