Alexa Flash Briefing Feed - "Error: Error fetching the requested URL."

I am trying to set up a new flash briefing skill but when I add my feed URL and try to save, I get the following error - " Error: Error fetching the requested URL.” Request even does not reach my server that is deployed in AWS EC2 instance.

Feed URL: http://ec2-54-224-206-7.compute-1.amazonaws.com:8080/api/v1/news

Simple response JSON:

{ "uid": "urn:uuid:1335c695-cfb8-4ebb-abbd-80da344efa6b", "updateDate": "2016-05-23T00:00:00.0Z", "titleText": "Amazon Developer Blog, week in review May 23rd", "mainText": "Meet Echosim. A new online community tool for developers that simulates the look and feel of an Amazon Echo.", "redirectionUrl": "https://developer.amazon.com/public/community/blog" }

I'm not able to reach that URL.

But I think it's because the port 8080 is not a standard http port.

Try updating your service to port 80 or host the JSON file on S3.

On a side note, only "updateDate" dates within 7 days will be played. You'll hear the response, 'Sorry, <feed name> does not have any recent content.'

Changing to port 80 solved the problem. It also works with S3 JSON file. Thank you for your prompt reply.
