Alexa always said "I couldn't find the device or group name xxx in profile".

I have built two smart plug, one is named smart plug, another one is smart plug 2.

I have discovered smart plug in previous time, and today after I adding smart plug 2.

Although Alexa can discover smart plug 2, but she always says "I couldn't find the device or group name smart plug 2 in your profile".

Why is this happening? How can I do the debug, it's driving me crazy.

Any suggestions is great, thanks.

This is likely due to the number in your device name. Have you tried renaming it to something without the number?

Other devices have numbers and not an issue. Any real answers?

I have the same problem... I have 2 Quirky power strips... one is working fine, the other is not. Removed, readded, rebooted, renamed, etc etc... can't get this to work. Device shows up as connected in Alexa app... works fine from Wink app. But when attempting to voice control, get the same as Jason....

Was working fine with number, then quit about 3 weeks ago.

Is this issue happening with a smarthome skill you are developing, or some other party's smarthome skill. If it's a smarthome skill you are developin can you please provide the skill ID?

i have the same issue on devices sued with Fibaro smart home skill, alexa will turn them on and off but will always respond with "couldent find a device...."

I would suggest getting in touch with customer service here who should be able to assist with troubleshooting further.
