Separating Developer and Mgmt Console Email and Password, from regular Amazon purchasing account

I have been googling to see if I can create, or actually, change the password for my Developer and Management Console accounts, to be completely separate from my Amazon standard purchasing account. I tried to change my password in the Management Console and it changed the regular Amazon one as well.

The impression I got from a 2 year old post, is that I would also need to create a new email address for my Developer and Management Console account, in order to have it be completely separate from the regular Amazon purchasing account.

  • 1)Is that correct?
  • 2)Since the accounts are currently combined, if I now create a new email and PW, will my existing Lambda function follow to the new Email address? I assume it will, but just in case.
